At Stockton Heath Primary, we want our children to be naturally curious about the world around them. We are committed to providing a stimulating, engaging and challenging learning environment as part of our science curriculum. Throughout our school children are encouraged to develop and use a range of skills for working scientifically; these are below as our disciplinary concepts. Scientific language is taught and built upon as concepts are revisited in different year groups and across key stages.

Progression in Science
Progression in science is mapped out against our Areas of Learning (our disciplinary concepts); these can be found below to show the progression from EYFS to Y6.
KNOWLEDGE ORGANISERS
We have Knowledge Organisers for each of our science topics. These help us to address children's prior learning, vocabulary, core knowledge and key concepts for each of our science topics throughout school. These are regularly being updated, added and revised to ensure the very best outcomes in our science curriculum. Please check back for more soon.
